Licensed Automotive Technician - Baig Blvd. Moncton, NB, Woodstock, NB

Coast Tire & Auto Service Ltd. has a full-time opening for a licensed Automotive Technician.

Qualifications include:

  • Automotive Service Technician License;
  • Valid Driver’s License; must be insurable (no major infractions in last 7 years)
  • Must be adaptable and possess excellent oral and communication skills
  • Must have a positive attitude and an ability to organize and prioritize multiple objectives
  • Ability to work independently and with others; a strong team player with high energy and a willingness to mentor apprentices
  • Must be detail oriented; have an ability to utilize computer systems and programs

Main Job Duties include:

  • Responsible for the full scope of automotive trade including diagnostics, mechanical repairs and service, tire installation, and wheel alignments.
  • Ensure documentation is completely accurately including work orders and inspection sheets and communicated with sales staff
  • Installation of non-mechanical parts including tires, wipers, filters, and other accessories
  • Daily visual inspections of hoists and equipment, calibration checks of torque wrenchs, air gagues and wheel balancers.

Apprentice Automotive Technician - Mountain Rd. Moncton, NB and Charlottetown, PEI

Coast Tire & Auto Service Ltd. has a full-time opening for an apprentice Automotive Technician.

Qualifications include:

  • Being enrolled in Autmotive Service Technician program;
  • Valid Driver’s License; must be insurable (no major infractions in last 7 years)
  • Must be adaptable and possess excellent oral and communication skills
  • Must have a positive attitude and an ability to organize and prioritize multiple objectives
  • Ability to work independently and with others
  • Must be detail oriented; have an ability to utilize computer systems and programs
Main Job Duties include:
  • Diagnose and repair passenger vehicles and light trucks following the proper procedures which adhere to accepted industry standards and provincial requirements.
  • Ensure work orders are filled in completely and properly. This includes pertinent info such as customer information, plate #, mileage, work to be performed or found, results of damages found in visual inspection, recording torque values or attaching torque slips, recording tire pressures and tread depths, any problems incurred while completing the work order.
  • Ensure the initial inspection sheet is filled out for each vehicle entering the bay.
  • Follow through with customers (beginning to end). This includes determining their needs, advising the counter staff and/or customer of services needed and ensuring all services are performed and documented.
  • Perform required vehicle maintenance and document (check fluid levels).
  • Change and/or top up all fluids. (Oil, Power Steering Fluid, Windshield Washer Fluid, Transmission flushes, etc.) Document accordingly.
  • Installation of non-mechanical parts including tires, wipers, and other accessories.
  • Ensure equipment is properly inspected and maintained. Ensure this has been documented on the proper maintenance records, such as the calibration of torque wrenches and wheel balancer and verification of air gauges to master.
  • Daily visual inspection of hoist(s) and recording in Hoist Logbook.
  • Tidy work area and ensure general cleanliness of shop. Make sure bay door is locked at end of each day.
  • Other duties as required and as requested.

Commercial Tire Technician - Crown St. Saint John, NB; Baig Blvd. Moncton, NB; Charlottetown, PEI

Currently, we have a full-time opening available for a Commercial Tire Technician at our NB stores.

Qualifications include:

  • High School Diploma or competent level of experience in the field
  • Valid driver’s license and must be insurable (no major offences in last 7 years)
  • Certification in Commercial Wheel Service preferred; Experience required
  • Must be adaptable and possess excellent oral and communication skills
  • Must have a positive attitude and an ability to organize and prioritize multiple objectives and be detail oriented.
  • Ability to work independently and with others;
  • Ability to do the physical requirements of the job
  • Ability to represent company in a professional manner in the field

Main Job Duties include:

  • Install and repair commercial tires following the proper procedures which adhere to accepted industry standards.(includes farm & loader tires)
  • Ensure work orders are filled in completely and properly. This includes pertinent info such as customer information, plate #, mileage, work to be performed or found, results of damages found in visual inspection, recording torque values or attaching torque slips, recording tire pressures and tread depths, any problems incurred while completing the work order.
  • Follow through with customers (beginning to end). This includes proper greeting, determining their needs, and ensuring all services are performed as per industry standard.
  • Do the required inspections of truck and compressor. Record in Log Book.
  • Ensure equipment is properly inspected and maintained. Ensure this has been documented on the proper maintenance records, such as the calibration of the torque wrenches, verification of air gauge to master and maintenance of inflation chamber.
  • Tidy work area, including service truck and ensure general cleanliness of shop.
  • Perform after hours service calls for tires, carry phone on a weekly rotation with other technicians.
  • Other duties as requested.

Warehouse, Delivery, & Shop Assistant - Baig Blvd. Moncton, NB

Currently, we have a full-time opening available for a warehouse assistant to fill service needs in warehousing, delivery, and shop floor.
Hours will be 40 - 44 hours per week with the opportunity for overtime hours available as needed. Rate of pay will be based on experience.

Qualifications include:

  • High School Diploma or competent level of experience in the field
  • Valid driver’s license and must be insurable
  • Must be adaptable and possess excellent oral and communication skills
  • Must have a positive attitude and an ability to organize and prioritize multiple objectives and be detail oriented.
  • Ability to do the physical requirements of the job
  • Ability to represent company in a professional manner in the field

Main Job Duties include:

  • Picking and delivering tires to local customers and work sites.
  • Receive, load, and inventory ordered tires at our location.
  • Assist autotmotive and tire technicians with various tasks on the shop floor.

Machine Operator, Retread Plant, Moncton, NB

Coast Tire is currently seeking a full time machine operator at our Baig Blvd Retreading Facility in Moncton, NB

Qualifications include:

  • High School Diploma preferred or suitable experieince
  • Positive attitude and desire to learn new skills
  • Knowledge about industrial safety and CSA approved equipment
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment

Main Job Duties include:

  • Perform tire retreading operations: buffing, skiving, extrusion, building, and enveloping medium truck tires.
  • Updating computer system with complete information about production line
  • Complete maintenance and upkeep in Goodyear logbook and recording information
  • Perform required housekeeping for safe operations at the site

Schedule: 4 days a week, 12 hours per day.
Supplemental overtime pay over 44 hours per week.
