Air Filters
Your vehicle's air filter cleans the air brought in by the intake system. It removes dirt, dust and other contaminants before they can mix with your gasoline. Even microscopic dirt particles will cause severe damage if they get inside your engine.
Your engine uses approximately 10 litres of air for every litre of gasoline, so your air filter plays a large role in your vehicle's performance and fuel efficiency.
When the filter becomes dirty, airflow is reduced resulting in:
- increased wear on your intake system
- reduced engine power
- increased fuel consumption
You can improve your vehicle's performance and reduce your fuel costs simply by having your air filter inspected with each oil change, and replaced when damaged or visibly dirty.
